Payment is due on the day the pictures are taken, if you want to order photos. Make sure to fill out the form, and include a check for the proper amount.

Update on Music Basket

Here's an update on the Music Basket, our class donation to the Trillium auction on May 7th.

Remember, all donations must be turned in by this Friday, April 15.

Current Contents:

• 25+ CDs of popular music
• 5 hours in a professional recording studio
• DJ services for an event
• Apple iPod Nano music player
• two tickets to a Portland Symphonic Choir concert plus two recordings

Wanted Items:

• Apple iTunes gift card
• Gift certificates to local music stores, or instrument stores (Music Millennium, Portland Music Company, Everyday Music, Trade Up Music, Rhythm Traders, etc.)
  

Other really cool ideas:

• Music lessons (Ethos Music Center and Sound Roots have already donated to the auction)
• Tickets to the opera, musical theater, Oregon Symphony, etc.
  
• Apple iPod Shuffle
• Cash
  

I almost wish we could have *two* music baskets -- there might be a slightly different audience for Death Cab for Cutie, and the Portland Symphonic Choir, for example. There are only two days left, but if we collect two or more gift cards for music stores, and perhaps some cash with which to order a second music player, or tickets to the Oregon Symphony, we could have a Classical Music Basket, too. Very cool.

Dates to Remember: April 2011

• 4/9, 11 am - 4 pm. Sakura Cherry Blossom Festival: kids games, cooking show, Ninja show, Maid-Cafe, food, drinks and much more. Festival in Trillium multipurpose room; benefits Japanese program.
  
• 4/11. Monthly SCRIP orders due.
• 4/12, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Together for Trillium (TFT) meeting, including grant allocations. All are welcome, and childcare is provided.
• 4/14. Trillium in Bloom auction donations due.
  
• 4/15. Snow day make up. **School is in session.**
  
• 4/18, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Board meeting. All are welcome.
• 4/18, 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Village Building Convergence design & planning meeting. Meet in the preschool room across from the front desk. All are welcome.
  
• 4/22. Run for the Arts. Sponsorship forms due; volunteers needed.
  

Trillium in Bloom Music Basket: Donations Due

Auction donations are due!

Remember, our class contribution to the Trillium auction is a music-themed basket. The completed basket is due next week (Thurs, April 14) so I need your donations ASAP. Here's how:

1. Bring your donations to school, before or after class.

So far, our class contribution includes several CDs, DJ services for an event, and five hours in a professional recording studio.
