During our class meeting, the students voted on sharing topics for the next few weeks.

Valentine's Day

We will be having a Valentine's Day celebration on Monday afternoon. Students may bring cards as long as they bring one for everyone and there is no candy.

Work Party O' LOVE

Come join the Trillium Family on Sunday, February 13th from 9:30-1:30 to spread some LOVE around our school grounds. Our winter work party will start sharply at 9:30. We'll have snacks, coffee and tea for the morning, and will provide a small lunch around 1:00 pm.

Here's our list of items to accomplish:

• General trash pick up
• Raking out garden beds on the Interstate side
• Tidying up the multi-purpose room
• Leaf raking
• Repainting four square lines
• Add more gravel to our bike pit

And if it's dry we'll:

• Plaster the cob wall
• Work on the Trillium bench

If you can't spare time to help at the work party, we'd gladly and graciously accept your donation of food. Email Meg (meg [at] trilliumcharterschool [dot] org) with what you may provide.

Dates to Remember: February 2011

• 2/1, 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. Pizzacato Dough for Dollars. Trillium receives 20% of all food, drink, and gift certificate purchases at Pizzacato location at 4217 NE Fremont.
• 2/3. Chinese New Year. Students encouraged to wear red (but not white). Other traditional suggestions for good luck: do not wash hair on this day, and avoid the number 4, especially with regards to meals.
  
• 2/7-2/8. NO SCHOOL (Staff Retreat). Day camp available for grades 1-6; see Marc Molencamp for details.
• 2/9, 9:15 - 11:30 am. Field trip to Tears of Joy Puppet Show, "Bridge of the Gods."
• 2/10, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Information Session.
• 2/11, 8:30 am. TFT Coffee Klatch in art room. Coffee, tea, treats & conversation.
• 2/14, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Trillium Board meeting; all are welcome.
• 2/15, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Together for Trillium (TFT) meeting. All are welcome, and childcare is available.
• 2/21. NO SCHOOL (Presidents' Day).

Pizzicato Dough for Dollars

Today only, Trillium will receive 20% of ALL SALES at the Pizzicato restaurant at 4217 NE Fremont. That's all sales, all day at this location: woot!

Remember: Pizzicato has vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free pizza options. Also, if you pre-ordered food or gift certificates, pick those up today also, 3:00 pm at Trillium.

So, call the neighbors! Wake the kids! Tell everyone you know it's Pizza Day.
